Here are a few simple guidelines for having your personal experience with God at home during the 21-day lockdown. The effect of this global pandemic (COVID-19) has caused waves of uncertainty in the church, however, fear will not remedy its doings. Here is a guideline to your in-house experience.

Limit Distractions

At Home, it is easy to be destructed, from chores, your kids, spouse, and many other things. Allocating time for a destruction-free moment of worship will help control this with ease and set you up for success.

Work Up A Worship

Just like in church before receiving the word set aside a few minutes to praise and worship, figure out what gets you in the spirit. You may even create a playlist of your favourite songs.

Take Notes

The sermon you choose to stream, treat it like one in church and write down any important points you receive from it, for reference later.

Phone A Friend for Fellowship

The biggest effect on the church that COVID-19 has had thus far, is the ability to gather and be each other’s presence. The fellowship of believers is a major part of one’s walk with Christ and many find their way to the faith through a loved-one. In this time, it’s crucial that you have a system in place to hold you accountable. Find a friend or members of your church to discuss each week’s service with. Share notes and interpretations and discuss how the message impacted you.
